Matt Welser

Meet Matt, the host and creator of “Matt and Friends Drink the Universe.”

Matt believes that the best drinks are those shared with friends. As a true libation enthusiast, he is always seeking out new and exciting drinks. Matt enjoys exploring the local breweries, distilleries, and wineries around his home in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. Wherever he travels, Matt is always on the lookout for his next great drink.

Matt's interests and hobbies are quite diverse. Matt is an IT professional, drummer, music lover, video gamer, home brewer, and a dedicated family man. In his free time, he enjoys indulging in sci-fi/fantasy, movies, and cooking.

As the host of the show, Matt's goal is to make you laugh while guiding an exploration of all types of drinks. While Matt is always looking quality drinks, he will take every opportunity he can to get his friends to try some highly questionable ones too.

Christa

Christa is a self-proclaimed pop culture nerd; name a show or movie and she's probably seen it. In addition to what to watch, she knows just what to drink to maximize your viewing pleasure. Whiskey and gin are her current specialties but nothing beats a crisp beer on a hot summer day!

Josh

Josh started in the Food & Beverage industry years before he went to Culinary School. 20+ years later, Josh has moved out of the restaurants into the wine and spirits world. When Josh isn’t at restaurants peddling his wares, he likes to play disc golf, pickleball, video games, and ski with his wife and kids. Josh is a fan of all potent potables (yes, this is a Jeopardy reference), from a finely crafted cocktail, to a nice glass of wine, or (when the time calls) a shot and a beer.

The Fish

The fish wanders through multiple universes sharing his knowledge with others. With a good stout in his grasp, his tales have become legends.  So wise have his words been, that people who were lucky enough to listen to his ramblings,  were heard saying, “Never doubt the Fish.”
